Hi all, We should not forget to mention that probably the easiest way to launch an app is by creating a shortcut in Keyboard commander. It requires set up, of course, which may be tricky for a new user, but once you've done that, all you have to do is hit the right option key--or whatever key you designate--plus the letter key, and you can open an app from anywhere.
