Interesting. Maybe something changed in the very latest version. Mine is not very new (version 14.4.6) and I can access the basic menus such as the document gallery to create a new document but once I'm there I can't access any of the text inside the document.

All that said, maybe you're just having issues downloading the file. In that case, when you action the link, if you check downloads is anything there? I changed my default download location to be my desktop as I find that more convenient. If it's not even trying to download maybe you can force it by pulling up the context menu (VO-shift-m) on the link and choosing "Download linked file". Hope that helps.

I only use Text Edit. One of these days I have to learn Pages, but every time I 
try it drives me crazy trying to get to the document and/or trying to quit it.
