Yes the files are already associated with Amazon Mp3 Downloader but I cannot find a way of Safari passing control of the file directly to Amazon Mp3 Downloader. I have Safari Preferences set to open files when downloaded and I have System Preferences set to allow all apps. Despite this I have to go to the Download Folder and open the file there after download separately and only then the association with Amazon Mp3 Downloader kicks in. I suspect this just part of the Mac security policies. In general it is probably not good to allow websites to execute code on our Macs. .
If anybody knows of a solution I would be interested but it is not a showstopper as the download of the AMZ file is pretty instantaneous and I have folder alerts set up in the download folder so I am taken straight to the downloaded file anyway when I hit the yes button on the folder alert. .
