Hi,

For the source drive, how idd the items get put on it? From your Mac or from a
Windows machine? If from a Windows machine, don’t copy the items that have a
dot before the title if there are any and don’t copy items like “Recycler” or
“Trashes”. These sorts of items are not necessary and could cause you grief.
Try copying a folder or two at a time to determine which folder is causing the
error. The OK button you pressed was probably telling you that the copy did
not work and that’s likely why you didn’t see anything moving over to the new
drive. A note of caution as well, please make sure that you read messages
prior to clicking OK. Just clicking OK or entering passwords without first
reading and understanding the dialog is leaving yourself open to
vulnerabilities. With respect to progress bars, when files are being copied,
the Copy dialog should be visible to VO and when you navigate around that
dialog, you’ll find a couple of places that will tell you the status of the
copy. Usually one stating the percent completed and one stating how many files
have been copied and an estimation of how long the computer figures that it
will take to finish the copy.

Later...
