I did heaer the tutorial type review for Sound Forge. I had a play with the
demo just the other night and found it so accessible even with the unlabeled
buttons that I'm going to switch to it in spring. Back to Amadeus Pro for the
sake of keeping on subject. I do love amadeus pro. It has served me well for
all the time I had my Mac: November 2009. IF one cannot afford Sound Forge,
amadeus Pro is the way to go and it's loaded with stuff you will make frequent
use of. The two curser approatch they use in amadeus Pro threw me at first,
but, honestly, once you get used to it, there are some big advantages to having
it done this way. Now, back to your marker placing issue. Sometimes, VO goes
out of focus, (seemingly more so under 10.0.2), but, the way I deal with it is
to rout the insertion point to the spot I want to drop a marker by using CMD+y.
Then, pressing the p key. Even faster, you can do this while actually playing
the file. Listen for the spot you want to drop the marker in and the instent
you know exactly when it's coming up, press the p key right at the instent you
want the marker. What I love is the fact that with Amadeus Pro, you can
actually use the up and down arrow key's while playing the file. This will
cause the playback to slow down or speed up and, if you've got a tricky spot
you want to drop the marker in, you just slow it all the way down and that will
help you drop the marker with the p key in just exactly the right place. You
can always use the a s d and f keys to move the size of your selection
afterwards should you wish or need to do so.

Sincerely,
The Constantly Barefooted Ray

Still a happy Mac, Verizon Wireless iPhone 6+ and Apple TV user!

the only computer with full accessibility for the blind built-in
