That worked for this particular problem. That did not cure the other problems. When I start dictation there is no little ding to tell me it has started nor no Dang to tell me when I quit. This seems to be somewhat inconsistent.
My other problem has to do with setting the Volume. When I press the increase volume button it doesn't change at all. When I press the decrease volume button it comes to a point where It just quits and if I press the increase volume once the volume is back at it's too loud point. .
