Hi Caitlin not Jenner lol!
Seriously, this is something I do not understand.
why can you not nuance ios voices the way you can mac ones?
The ability to adjust tone and pitch is fundamental to using speech.
It actually was a deal breaker for my getting an ios device. That handsome Brit was close but to use him regularly in settings I wanted to refine him a bit...and was stunned that this was impossible save for speed. I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for those new to understanding synthesized speech, especially if others around you are telling you its fine but you do not think as much. Any explanation for why apple does not build something so simple into the ios platform?

Karen,
You can have a male Siri if you like, it’s in the choices under Siri in
settings. I have a nice Brit gentleman, for instance, instead of the snotty
American version! lol
hth,
Caitlyn(not Genner, btw! another lol)

Hi folks,
as to the first question, I understand she? had no idea she is a girl, has an
amusing answer to questions like... what's zero divided by zero?"
if no one has tried it, I will not spoil the fun.
I understand too that she will correct anyone seeking physical information
about Bruce Jenner.
The other half of my question has to do with nuance.
I recently visited an apple store to learn if the ios voices could be nuanced
the way mac voices can. I was dismayed that while you can speed the voice up
and slow it down, you cannot improve the over all quality..but I did not try
Siri at all.
I was working with an ipad, not a phone.
so can she be improved?
I may need to check her out, I tend to prefer a guy's voice talking in my ear
even on my computer lol.
Still it might be the difference between ever using an ios device as is the
case now, and considering an iphone for non phone tasks.
Thanks,
Karen
