Ah, so, let me see. since I've only got 96.27GB left on my hard drive, that
means I had better do the following just before getting my new Mac hooked up.
1. Assuming I do get a new Mac, get it home or wait for it to arrive.
2. Now, using CMD+c, copy the entire home folder structure to the clip board,
(in this case, the folder named Ray which is my home folder).
3. Next, open iCloud drive with CMD+shift+i.
4. Now, use CMD+Option+v to move that entire structure in to iCloud drive
since merely coppying it would call for more space than I have.
5. Now, turn on my new Mac making sure it's connected via RJ45 cable to the
internet and when VO is good and running, sign in with my Apple ID.
I reckon that those steps would then make it possible, once I'm signed
in to iCloud, to just move that folder structure in to the proper place on the
new Mac.
This should work as well if I decided to do a fresh install on this Mac
and wipe the drive empty after moving stuff to iCloud right?
Am I going wrong somewhere?
Anything I'm overlooking?
Sincerely, The Constantly Barefooted Ray,
Still a very happy Mac, Verizon Wireless iPhone6+ and Apple TV user!
