Hi!
Thanks for the clarification those in the know. It does make sense, but
my point still stands. Since there is no policy document sent to you, or
located anywhere as far as I can see, the description should still be
changed to reflect that this is a list on which all Apple products can
be discussed. Otherwise, it's just going to be confusing for those
joining the list, since searching to find the thread is pure hell, and
that's if you actually know about the change.
It's fine that it's all become a list for all the products now, since
they are so closely merged at this point, but the description hasn't
even been changed to make new users aware of this. That just seems very
sloppy to me, seeing as you can change both name and description for
Google Groups. It doesn't really matter if the name stays the same, as
long as the description takes into account the merging between products.
That's my only concern.

Just recently, within the last few weeks, this question was answered by the moderator
Mark Taylor. This list is now and pretty much always has been and "all things
Apple" list. That includes the watch iOS operating system OS X etc. it makes a good
deal of sense as the entire Apple line of products are all integrated and work seamlessly
with each other. That is their intent, and so this list takes questions regarding all
things Apple. There was a list devoted solely to the Mac OSx operating system, but that
has gone the way of the dinosaur. That's what happens when you don't stay current.

Hi!
I would be curious of this as well. It does say that this list is the home of
the blind Mac user community, so that it has degenerated into a list with so
many topics regarding iOS is strange to me, especially since we have
moderators. The description doesn't reflect iOS anywhere, though, and if both
are allowed now the description should probably be changed. The name is rather
misleading, but clearly, posting iOS-related discussions is OK here.
Of course, that makes things a little confusing since this is Macvisionaries
after all.

Is there another ml that’s more mac related? it seems this list has degenerated
into an ios mailing list andand i would like one that provides mac support only.
BTW why do people send mail for a ios device to this list? I’ve deleted some
1400 messages from this folder and a lot of it is ios related so if anyone
knows of one i would appreciate info on an ml for macs not ios.
