Hello James,

The uncontracted Braille at installation is American Braille, of course. There 
can only be one kind of Braille at that stage, just as there can be only one 
voice. However, it would b good if we could have a basic voice in all the 
languages into which VoiceOver is localised. I've asked Apple for this for at 
least four years and have got nowhere. Yes, they know about eSpeak but, as far 
as I know, no one has succeeded in making it integrate with Mac OS X. I think 
it's been used to read highlighted text, but that's not the same thing.

Apple never gives anything away in advance, so maybe one day we'll get a 
release of the OS with lots of different language voices. That really would be 
brilliant!
