Sharp keys I don't know, but a karabiner is a one hinge side metal tall clip that climbers loop rope through for easy one handed clipping to objects ( i.e. Other ropes or karabiners). Smaller ones can be bought at stores for clipping a key ring to a backpack, belt loop or purse.
