Did Time Warner give you the router that supports 802.11AC? If not, they should have. For my part, and I run Macs, PCs, a Chromebook or two and at least one of each iDevice, I’ve gotten 802.11AC router that Time Warner provided and, because I live in an apartment in New York City where the wi-fi interference is vast, I have a Netgear router in the second bedroom (… and yet, I have a two bedroom apartment in New York City.) relaying the signal. I get on average 200 Mbps Internet speed, though I don’t know what my throughput is to devices in the WLAN (like, for example, a NAS). That said, I’m also curious if there would be any advantage to running an AirPort router—do I get AirPlay on the Extreme, or just the Express, for instance? > On Jan 17, 2016, at 4:37 PM, Alex Hall <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hey all, > I'm considering what to do for a new, modern router.
