I had a problem yesterday. Neither the app store or iTunes would accept my 
password. I was on the phone with support  and he had me go to a website for 
apple ID. I put in the same password and it verified I was typing the right 
password.  What I had to do was reboot my mac. After that I was able to sign 
in, nth
