Yeap exactly, So long as you have an internet connection then you hav3 the ability to download the recovery OS from apple directly, however there is a small recovery partition on your hd that gives the machine the details of what to grab and where to get it all from,

Then you’d be good to go. Of course, if you had no internet connection and/or no help available then yes, that would be a problem. Or as another poster pointed out you could potentially use trial and error to guess the order of Wi-Fi networks in the list.
