You know it comes down to whether you want a phone as well and the possibility 
of using a GPS solution or not. The Touch could possibly have a GPS solution 
added as an external item, but of course the other consideration is the data 
plan. I personally decided to just get the iPhone for my wife and I and I do 
get my use out of the data plan.
I hope that gives you some things to consider. The interface is the same with a 
few differences do to the fact one is the iPhone and one is the iPod Touch, but 
the experience is the same.
