Generally, I just allow the browser plugin to prompt me to save a password and then have no issues with using the command-\ to have one password regurgitate that password into the password field.
Chris has done a good job of creating highly reproducible bug reports with audio recording, perhaps this is what AgileBits needs to eliminate this bug, that I saw in the version 4 but have not been able to reproduce in version 6.1. I expect the left-to-right vs right to left issue is something that just occurs when VoiceOver is running and perhaps is related to how they mask the passwords. I haven’t figured out the usefulness of non-web passwords with 1Password, I tend to just use keychain for these. What I especially like about 1 password, it works better than keychain access for having my password “vault” have a different and more secure login than my login password. The second advantage is that 1Password will prompt to save passwords even when the input field for the password says don’t allow this. Yes, there is dash lane but a 1 year subscription to that is more expensive than 1-password and I find the way that dash lane pushes icons into the HTML to be obtrusive.
