Thanks Nick (and all) for the helpful replies. I guess I'll just have to go
in and play with the iPhone now. I wasn't aware that the GPS was
accessible, so that definitely makes it attractive. However data roaming
rates throughout the EU are very very expensive which kind of negates its
value somewhat.

Thanks again,

Dónal

Subject: Re: iPhone or iTouch?

Hi,

I'd definitely second what Scott says. If you have the possibility for an
upgrade to an iPhone I'd take it, just to have everything integrated into
one device. That's why I'm considering an iPhone very strongly myself at the
moment. I like the iTouch as well, but I don't want to carry around my phone
while also having to carry around the iPod. it just seems less convenient.

Regards,
Nic

consideration is the data plan. I personally decided to just get the iPhone
for my wife and I and I do get my use out of the data plan.

devices is the same? I'd be very interested to hear the thoughts and
experiences of people on the list who have tried both.
