Hi,

I've also found that using the Window Chooser (VO-f2-f2) in the App Store
instead of cmd-tabbing around also will bring focus back to the App Store.

I'm not totally sure what's going on, but what I can tell you is this:

The issue with losing focus in the app store, then having to command+tab away
from the window, then command tab again to go back and regain focus has been a
bug for some time now. I'm not sure why Apple's not squashed it, seeing a lot
of us have reported it.
