Mark,
Now that you mention it, that may not be what I need after all. What happened to me yesterday was likely a fluke. I do not think I actually answered the call because it had come in about 20 minutes earlier. I was unaware of it so when I pulled the phone out to use it. I did something that resulted in the message "all circuits are busy, try again" or something to that effect. The phone was in a loop and I could not stop it so did a reboot.

Hello,

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but, in my world, whether the screen is
locked (off), locked (on but with no alerts being displayed), locked (on with
alerts being displayed), or unlocked, performing a 2-finger, double-tap, during
an incoming call will answer the call.

Maybe I'm missing a key piece of information but never have I performed a
2-finger, double-tap to dismiss a call.

Mark

Ok, I guess I did not quite understand what a locked screen is. Heh.
At any rate, if this happens again, I will be sure to try the 2 finger double
tap. Thanks Tim.

Hi, you can be on the lock screen, but it must be active not locked.

That was the problem, I was still on the lock screen.

Hi,

I usually just do a two-finger double-tap to cancel the call. It normally
works to get you out of the call-back situation, as long as the screen is
active. That is, not locked.

This morning, while unlocking the phone, not knowing there was an alert on
the lock screen (volume was very low and in a noisy situation), somehow the
phone went into a loop and I had to reboot it. I could not unlock and go to the
app switcher to bneak this loop.

I was concerned that I was returning a call that could have been a scam caller. After
looking at recents, that proved not to be the case. What I heard, with the help of
someone nearby was "all circuits busy".

I'd like to know if there is a better and faster way to deal with this
should it happen again. I have been getting more and more what I used to think
were simply wrong numbers but am sure its increasingly scam calls. So I need to
be certain not to inadvertently do any call backs.
