No advantage. One Apple ID can be used for more than one device. One ID enables you to maintain them too; purchases, backups, etc.

When I set up my Mac mini, I used the same Apple Id that I use on my

using these devices, is there any advantage to having two separate id's?

My mail question: ICloud installed the information for my gmail account,
which I use on my phone, onto my Mac. I would like to add this
Mindspring account to my Mac. If I do, I imagine it will appear on my
phone, also. I have no problem with both accounts being on both devices,
but will I be able to tell my phone to fetch mail only from gmail, and
my Mac, only from Mindspring? I hope so, but I want to know before I
wish I had known.I get too much mail from Mindspring to want to mess
with it on my phone on a regular basis.

Thanks in advance for any information.
