Hi Arnold,

I only have one apple account on all my apple devices,
So that’s iPhone, Ipad, mac book air 2 iPods and an apple tv,

I also had it on my mac mini as well but that’s currently in a box to sell

I get the benefit of purchasing something on my iPods or tablet / phone and the
other devices get the same app also,
That doesn’t happen on my mac book air but it is all recognised in my apple
account.
As for email,
Yes you can setup a number of different accounts in either mac mail or on your
phone and on your phone you can set the mail to not be shown, just a calendar
or contacts related to that account,
On the mac mail setup you have a number of similar option s but it will depend
in both what type of account you setup.

HTH.

Subject: Two Devices On The Same Apple Id Questions

When I set up my Mac mini, I used the same Apple Id that I use on my phone. My
general question: Being that I am the only one who will be using these
devices, is there any advantage to having two separate id's?

My mail question: ICloud installed the information for my gmail account, which
I use on my phone, onto my Mac. I would like to add this Mindspring account to
my Mac. If I do, I imagine it will appear on my phone, also. I have no problem
with both accounts being on both devices, but will I be able to tell my phone
to fetch mail only from gmail, and my Mac, only from Mindspring? I hope so,
but I want to know before I wish I had known.I get too much mail from
Mindspring to want to mess with it on my phone on a regular basis.

Thanks in advance for any information.
