Hi Kawal.
There is a song which goes somethin like this.
Be nice to yourself, be nice to yourself...
Sorry that's all the words I know. hahaha.
This year I stopped smoking and started saving up. I've bought a brand new 27
inch Imac and a second hand Macbook Pro and I firmly believe that we all should
be nice to each other for sure but more important, to be nice to ourselves and
treat ourselves from time to time.
After all are we not all worth it?

Subject: Re: Do I want to update or not?
I wasn’t going to update my phone as I am also getting an I phone 7 Plus from
the Apple store on Friday but someone asked me if I had updated so now I’ve
updated the one I have although it’s been sold so I’ll have a play with it and
then need to format it for it to be put in the box and sent to the seller.
Is there anything I need to do as it’s a trusted device. Can I remove that
phone from my trusted device once I’ve put my sim card in my new phone?
I am also buying the Series two watch so that’s my presents to me until next
year.
Thanks.
Kawal.

Hi Jonathan,
You know, I think my phone may have been part of that. I had forgotten
though until you mentioned it. Guess I'll go ahead and give the update a go.
Cheers,
Donna

Hi Donna, depending on when it was that you got your last phone, it may
have been because there was an OS update rather quickly. I believe it was iOS 8
where they pushed out an update very quickly, then had to pull it and release
another one because they broke LTE.
In that case, the OS you got on your new phone will have been older than
the OS on the old, unless you first updated. Hopefully that won't happen this
time around.

Hi Tim and Jonathan,
thanks for this. I honestly don't remember how it is that my new phone
had an older version, my memory is that I upgraded on the day it was released,
so I was thinking that the 7 would ship with IOS 9. But I could be wrong about
the upgrade timeframe. Anyway, I appreciate the feedback, so I guess I'll just
have to see how impatient I am to get my hands on IOS 10.1. :)
Cheers,
Donna

Hi Donna, your iPhone 7 will ship with iOS 10.0.1, so I can't see a
reason why both devices being on the same OS would be a problem.
But if you're updating on Friday, restoring from a backup made on the
iOS you have now should be fine. It's only when you try to restore to an older
OS version from a newer one that the universe objects.

Hi all,
I'm getting my iPhone 7 this Friday. I have a recollection that
when I got my last phone, I had an issue because I'd already updated my old
phone to the new IOS version. So I'm thinking that this time I want to skip
upgrading my current phone. Am I thinking about this correctly?
TIA,
Donna
