You may have to fiddle with the orientation. There’s a good guide on Applevis about it, but put your phone in landscape, flat, then put the phone so that it’s on one side, and see if it says “home button to the right” or however you have it. If not, turn it to the other side. When it has the home button how you want it, put it back down flat, swipe up with three fingers to lock it’s orientation, and it should be good.
