I’ve never tried something that elaborate but the drivers will work with you. As long as they are willing you can adapt the trip as needed. Of course as already noted this is going to make it hard to predict your final fair. I thought I read something a while back about Lyft providing this option but if it ever happened it isn’t obvious to me upon cursory examination of the app. I never considered that it would be cheaper to have them wait if it isn’t long but that makes sense given that there’s an initial minimum charge.
