Hello Bill, I got brave and decided to install sierra on my own. First of all, you have to download it from the app store. I then ran the app, which was in my downloads folder. I followed the on screen instructions, accepting the legal terms, etc. Once the app was installing, there was a progress indicator that I was able to check using voice over to see how far along the installation was. After the installation was complete, it asked me to restart the computer. I did this and all went perfectly. I couldn’t believe how easy this was, since I had problems installing El Capitan. I hope it works as easily for you.
