Hi Larry, Yes, that does work for voiceover, your workaround solution that is. But for other things, like the fire TV, which I don't have or the Roku stick, which I do have, that is not going to work, since those things don't offer Bluetooth or headphones output oor connection. This still makes me wonder why some of the optical out from television to sound bar work. People with Sonos and Scott with his particular sunny don't have a problem. I just don't get it. There are some really nice sound bars out there, but the ones that look like they would be the best and are in my price range don't have HDMI. It seems like the full proof method might be HDMI ARC. But thus far, I haven't found one with HDMI it sounds like something I would actually want to listen to. Mary
