Actually, I think that UBER is presenting the new layout in phases even for the new app version. I remember seeing an e-mail a couple weeks ago talking about a more efficient uber app.
For me, once I open UBER a list of favorite places and places I have gone to from the current location shows up. Once I click on that an area comes up with two possible UBER car types and the estimated cost and arrival time with that service. I played around a little with this format while on the train this morning and found an ETA somewhere in the top half of the screen, but not in the swipe order. NFB has a blog entry complaining about the changes in the UBER app saying something like UBER does not get accessibility. Though UBER is paying NFB $50,000 if I remember correctly so that NFB can say that UBER is accessible Please don't write my above statements into a news article, As they are based on memory and not research, so it would be a fake news article. ! enough said!
