Hi Simon, all I can say is I hope you check out Samsung TVs before you decide to buy a Sony. I say that because in my experience, the Samsung I just purchased was a lot cheaper than a Sony I have recently Seen discussed on an android list. They both have excess ability. I paid $219 US for a Samsung TV 32 inches with excess ability. There is an android Sony TV probably the one you have been talking about, which is twice that if not more. But I don't see any point. Sure, you may have to get a little bit of cited help start out with the Samsung TV. But I am just not convinced that the android thing is worth it on the TV. I could take the money I saved I'm not buying that Sony and spend it on a really awesome pair of headphones, which I did. And I think I'll be ahead. But to each their own. Mary
