I find it to be no louder or quieter than previous models with how I type. However, the keys are so easy to press that I can make it quieter than usual if I concentrate on not whacking keys how I normally do. Basically, it's a laptop, and most laptop keyboards make some kind of sound, especially for fast typists. This Pro is no different, and is certainly quieter than some I've heard in the past.
