Yes, Touch ID is nice for unlocking and giving administrator permission. But I 
wish it went further. I want it to authorize auto-fill on websites, to keep my 
passwords more secure. I want it to fill in Apple ID sign-in requests across 
the system. I want to use a fingerprint before selected apps will open, like 
money managers or diaries. There's a lot more Touch ID could do on macOS, and 
right now it feels under-utilized. Obviously, this can all change in the 
future, and having the hardware now means you get any improvements to its 
utility.
