Hi Tim,

I'm glad you put that in
I was wondering what they were on about.

I just did this on my 128GB USB 3 SSD,
Put mavericks, Yosemite, el capitan sierra and high sierra all on the drive
It's quick and easy.

Subject: Re: making a bootable installer for high sierra

Hi,

This can be done in Terminal very easily by doing the following:

• create a blank USB stick or other removal media, at least 8 GB in size.
• make sure the volume is named "Untitled".
• make sure that the Install MacOS High Sierra app is in your Applications
folder.
• open Terminal and paste this command in.

sudo /Applications/Install\ MacOS\ High\
Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled
--applicationpath /Applications/Install\ MacOS\ High\ Sierra.app --nointeraction

• you'll need to enter your password and that's it.

Wait about 1/2 an hour or so and it will be done.

As Mike mentioned, each time that MacOS updates High Sierra, you'll need
another download of the installer if you wish to have the latest version as
your installer.

Later...

before.
