Tha's a great idea, thanks! I've set it up, but don't feel like fighting with File Vault to test it. Still, I'll see if it worked next time I restart. You're right, though, I see no reason it shouldn't I always forget about this option to start things on boot, since I have my Mac set to re-open everything I was doing when I shut it down.
