Hello Ali,  (Is Ali your first name?)

The problem is that Spotify is not yet supported natively on HomePod.  I would 
prefer not to have to use my iPhone every time I wish to play music.

Mark,
It might be worth your while to try spotify. Although I use both apple music 
and spotify, spotify remains to be my daily driver when it comes to music 
streaming.
