Hi, In my opinion, since I've had my first ever mac, the Macbook Pro, since 2012, yes that long *smile*, that I have managed without the touch bar and will stick to that unless a future mac inforces me to learn that, which does not bother me in the slightestt. Personally, my next mac will be the cheaper Macbook Air, but a lot of that boils down to financial constraints, which of course will be different to everybody. Not only will the Macbook Air be more affordable; I don't need all that horsepower offered in a Macbook Pro if all I'm going to do is somewhat similar to what I currently do on the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and even this mac: send and receive emails, browsing the web, using iTunes, nothing complicated and processor intensive at all. I have seen rumours floating about suggesting a more affordable Macbook Air some time this year so it will be interesting how that works out.
