Hi Dan,

Are you installing windows 10 to bootcamp or just on to your mac's ssd without
any other setup.

No the mac can't by default mount an NTFS partition so the best thing to do is
to format it as a FAT32 file structure

To install windows you need to run on the mac side
Boot Camp assistant,

Then follow the prompts to install your windows.

Easiest option is to put the windows installer package if in an ISO file on to
your desktop,
Then format your USB flash drive to a fat32 format and then once done
Have that the installation in to bootcamp should work fine for you.

Subject: Having problems with attempting to install windows 10 on my MBP 2014

Hello Folks,
I've been attempting to install windows 10 on my MBP mid 2014 model year
machine.
Here are the problems I'm having.
The first time I attempted to do this, I got a message that the install
couldn't be mounted because of not being able to format NTFS.
Then after restarting the machine making sure that boot camp partial install
was removed, I attempted it again. This time I got the error that the usb drive
didn't have enough space. So I used a larger usb drive with 64 GB instead of 32
GB and still got the same result.
This is really dumb. I might as well purchase a refurb windows machine rather
than fooling around with this.
Even though this was what I really wanted to do.
Now I do have another comment to make.
In the install, the first time, My son picked the no license option and it was
after that that the unit said that NTFS couldn't be mounted or something like
that.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Sincerely,

Dan
