Ok, so what exactly is the error message your getting and have you whipped and
or formatted the drive as a apple format,I'd suggest if you use the external
set the drive as a mac OS X extended Journeled format.

Then part of the setup for boot camp is the dividing and partitioning which
should sort out the drive size,

And also try selecting the correct partition as there will be possibly 4 one
of which will be the one you asked for and you then need to do a a format of
the required partition don't add or delete partitions just format the one you
have selected as your primary drive.

2014

Hello,
I'm using bootcamp.
I've done all the necessary steps. I even attempted to use a 500 GB usb
external drive as well and still, the disk isn't big enough if the error
message can be believed.
My son and I even ran the system diagnostic tool. the one with D held down
while restarting. No errors were reported.
So, honestly, I don't know what to do next.
I called Apple and was told to contact Microsoft. I called Microsoft and was
told to call Apple.
Sincerely,

Dan
