Hi, When you pressed the cmd-option-Escape, did the Force Quit window present itself? If not then press cmd-tab to get out of the Safari app, then press cmd-option-Escape and see if it comes up then. When in the Force Quit window, interact with the table and check the status of Safari and any other app you care to look at. Any app that is running normally, usually won't announce anything and just move on to the next app. Apps that are causing grief, will usually announce "Not Responding" when you VO-right of the app title.
