I have a 2013 iMac with 8 GB of ram and a 1 TB HD and have auto login enabled and find that vo takes quite a bit of time to load. I am wondering if you did a clean install or a in place upgrade. This may have something to do with it. Also do you have certain apps such a drop box or online backup apps that load at start at login. Just trying to have some idea as to what could be causing this. The 4 GB is pretty much the minimum that Mojave can handle. Combine that with a slower processor, and you will find things a little slower. Also, if you've just done the upgrade, give your Mac about 24 hours or so to index everything and it should start behaving better. Note, the indexing only happens when the Mac is awake. Later...
