Hi,

It is normal behaviour for the Backup & Sync app to just give you the bonk
noise after opening it from the Finder. What is happening is that the app
opens a blank layer on your screen. It does not have any specific controls or
windows. As Andrew mentioned, the app will then have controls within the Menu
Extras. Within the Backup & Sync menu extras item, all the information you
need will be found there. You can determine whether you are signed in
properly, or if there are certain files not syncing properly and any other
status you need to troubleshoot your problem.

If you are having problems at this point, I suggest that you go into System
Preferences, Users & Groups, Login Items tab, and check to make sure that
Backup & Sync is set to automatically start upon login. If it is, then restart
your computer and see if everything starts working again.

Later...

On my mac, when I launch backup&sync, yes, I do have the empty window you
describe but I also have an icon in the menu extra where I activate it by
pressing vo+spacebar.
