Hi, The TouchTyping should work the same on your iPhone 8 as it did on the 5S, even for pass-code entry and 2FA. I'm not sure why you're having problems with that. That being said, the fact is, is that you are having the issue. So, when entering pass-codes, flick right or left to get to the specific number you need for the pass-code, then do a double-tap. It works for me when I've got some reason to require that method. Regarding the locked account, you'll need to go to appleid.apple.com and enter unlock things from there.
