Hello, Many thanks for your help on this. As you say it takes some practice to get used to touch typing on the 8 where the touch sensitivity and timing of VO feedback are different than on the 5S. So touch typing on the 8 does indeed behave correctly. Happily the problem with the verification code for Apple ID 2 step validation went away the next day when I got my sighted wife to enter the verification code. So all is now OK. Best regards….
