You can find it by pressing the help menu keys VO plus h. The getting started guide is down at the bottom of the list. You might find some trouble in browsing at first, but try to bring up the table of contents and you’ll find a wealth of information about using voiceover on the Mac. Also check out the other items in the voiceover help menu while you’re at it. I think you’ll find all you need there along with questions on list you should learn quite quickly. Many are cost-based, but there are about a half dozen basic tutorials that are free, and are very well done. I did a lot of listening and struggling in my first 3 or 4 months using the Mac, but am becoming more comfortable with the Sox approach. I made it a point to become familiar first with the Mail and Textedit apps, and then spent a whole lot of time learning how to get around in Finder. Calendar and Contacts were a bit more difficult to use, and I’m still not comfortable with Contacts. Other places you should spend time poking around would be in the Voiceover Utility and System Preferences. And of course post your questions to this list. There are some real experts on board.
