Hi, That's a rather exaggerated and incorrect evaluation of the process in iTunes.
1. Select the items you wish to modify. 2. Press cmd-i to Get Info. 3. Navigate through the Info dialog editing the fields you wish to modify. 4. Press OK. All done. Maybe you can add a few steps if you plan on modifying numerous fields, but that's not particularly complicated or inefficient as far as I can tell. I guess that we all have our own opinions, but that sort of exaggeration does not help anyone. Later...
