Hi, I'm not sure of the accessibility of the Ecobee app, but since it is totally HomeKit compatible, you should be able to do the majority of the things you need to do directly through the Home app itself. My understanding is that the Honeywell Lyra T5 Plus is also HomeKit compatible and, as Brad mentioned, its app is accessible. I haven't made the jump yet to these thermoses so cannot speak from personal experience. I haven't been able to justify purchasing a new thermostat to my wife when the old programmable one that's only five years old still works great. She just has to do most of the work on it :).
