Well pressing the control key to shut voice up has always be rather problematic for me as well. If I’m reading or checking emails and my wife says something to me or I need to find the control key on the cat, which is called the food key. I’ll press the control key to shut VoiceOver up and by the time I’ve taken two steps away from the computer VoiceOver has started speaking again;
