Ah, fascinating. I expect I will rework my setup to be directly driving at least three, possibly four separate machines. I expect to put a modern, HDMI enabled KVM in the path, and I've done shome KVM shopping but haven't ordered anything yet.
It'll be interesting whether I end up with a PC keyboard or the Mac bluetooth keyboard as my main work keyboard via the KVM. It appears there is both Windows and Linux support for using a Mac keyboard. So, I'll likely play around with each for awahile before settling on something based on experience. PS: In addition to the KVM I'm planning to upgrade my hardware audio mixer. Still investigating good options there.
