I’ve had speakers similar to this that I used on a Windows PC at work. They functioned just fine on my Windows machine, so I am wondering why you are having a problem using them on a Mac mini. I know you said you can see a little green light, so you know the speakers have power. I’m wondering if there is a way to make sure there is not a problem with the audio output jack. Perhaps you could try plugging in a pair of 3.5 mm headphones into the audio output jack to see if they will work,, or try a different pair of speakers.
