I had installed an anti-virus program on my Mac Mini that I became quite
disillusioned with to the point that I installed MalWare Bytes to replace it.
I’ve been able to “unschedule” the original app so that MalWare Bytes does all
the scheduled. But I am not able to simply delete the app from the
Applications folder; when I try to do so I get an error message that the
program is running and cannot be removed.

Short of opening the Terminal app, executing a “ps -a” and “kill -9” from the
shell, is there a different way to kill the unwanted anti-virus process so I
can remove it?
