You sem to be having some very strange problems. Perhaps you have a corrupted preferences file for AHP? Have you tried removing it?
1. Go into the Preferences folder which is in your Home folder's Library folder. I think it is called rogueameba,plist. You need to make sure that AHP is closed I think before you remove it. Also, I would make a copy of it first and then delete it.
