OK, here are the instructions to add a commander to mute speech. To setup a commander to toggle the mute speech for VoiceOver, first open voiceover utility with vo f 8 that is control option f 8. Next press command 8 to jump to commanders. Next vo right arrow to the keyboard tab and then press vo space bar on it. Next tab to the add button, and hit VO Space. Next type the letter you want to use along with the right option key. Note, I had to press VO space before I could type in the edit field. Next vo right arrow to the command menu button and then press space bar on it. Next press the down arrow key to find speech, and then press the right arrow to open it. Next press down arrow to find Mute speech toggle and press enter. Good Luck! Rob
